I'm sure this has probably been mentioned several times on this forums since it's been a problem for a very long time. I don't understand why Treyarch hasn't fixed this yet since it very annoying when one person drops and since nothing else counts, the rest of the rounds are basically useless for leaderboards so people leave afterwards. I suspect most of the higher leaderboard ranks are lower than they should be because players dropped out early, hell usually at least one person lags out/quits before we get far enough to all get downed (if we're playing with a decent group).
Like I said this has been a problem for a very long time and since Treyarch hasn't fixed it, I am beginning to think that it is intentional and if that is the case, can someone from Treyarch please address why it is so (or someone link me them doing so). Aside from getting constantly paired up with people who are terrible, this is probably one of the most frustrating things in zombies. You invest a lot of times into one zombie game only to have a person drop before you break your previous record.
It's all rather infuriating. My main reason for purchasing Black Ops II (and the previous one) is for zombies. Hell, I only bought the season pass to play the zombie maps, I couldn't care less about the multiplayer maps although I occasionally play them. That might sound stupid/silly but I just really like zombies and it is one of the reasons I generally only purchase the Treyarch-made Call of Duty games (that's not to say that Infinity Ward's incarnation is worse, only that I buy it for zombies)
I guess one possible reason is because it wouldn't make sense if someone gets round 45 credit solo if he was playing with two other people who dropped out the round before. However, I think the more reasonable solution is to just give highest round credit to the original number of players that started out. If someone drops, they can either not get any credit or only the credit for the round they left on (if possible). I would rather the leaderboards say I got to round 45 with 4 players even if the other three dropped out at round 5, then just say round 5 with 4 players.
I apologize for my very long rant since this type of complaint probably isn't uncommon. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue.
Thanks!
